Again looking for photos for the Rock The Shot "favorite photo of 2012" challenge... I found this one.
This photo, perhaps my favorite of 2012, represents hope for me. I can't even explain with words why this means so much to me.
Maybe it's learning my son has Aspergers this year and how he's looking out like he knows the challenges he'll face.
Maybe it's the rotten window frame on the old brick house that has become our home and inspired our vision to renovate.
Maybe its the just that sometimes amazing hope comes from excruciatingly hard times.
That when doors close, windows DO open...
